Thanks, John. Your tutorial on video-conferencing has come at the most opportune time! The company I work for has schools scattered not only across Auckland NZ, but also in Jakarta and Vietnam. We're currently looking into the use of video-conferencing (for staff and student use) to promote closer links between the schools. A most informative and clear tutorial. Much appreciated.
I am a former primary school teacher specialising in ICT and music. I have also taught IT as a sessional lecturer for Pilbara TAFE and lectured in B.Ed for Curtin University's Centre for Remote and Rural Education. I am currently working as a Senior Project Officer Infrastructure and Economic Development for the Pilbara Development Commission. Within this new role I have continued my interest in education though project work in two of our regional high schools updating their video conferencing equipment and fostering development of an online learning website.

Thanks john for that ppt; it's most interesting to hear detail about tech advances useful for distance ed.
